I was only responding to spee's comment: "even with a fully built motor, I find 15k pretty damn steep" While he may find it steep, this game is expensive and realistically if he got a fully built motor it would be the opposite with all the other stuff he got (swap, turbos, ect), in fact it would be "pretty damn cheap" IMO But, I agree with you that a Jspec motor (not rebuilt) would be questionable - going that route is always a calculated risk.
